This old church building has not moved despite all the ground around it being removed. It is probably a listed building, therefore the developers have taken the utmost care to preserve it while some major construction works are undertaken around it.

The view from the top of a mountain on a clear day can be very rewarding, you see things from the top that you could not see from the bottom. Sometimes you can look down and see the path that led you to the top with all the twists and turns. Why not a straight path bottom to top?!

Without these cables and hoses the trailer of this lorry will not work properly. The trailer has lights
which need to be linked to the lorry, the brakes require air from the lorry to operate them and of course the trailer needs to be coupled to the lorry unit so it can move – it has no power of its own.

This will be visible from the M6, M42, M6 Toll Road, HS2 (if built!) and flights in and out of Birmingham Airport. The project is called ‘The Wall’ and is ‘To remind generations of God’s goodness’.

The picture is of a scientific research centre in Arizona, US, called Biosphere 2. It was built to replicate the environment we live in to enable the study of plant living systems and the effects upon them of pollution etc. The Biosphere being enclosed enables the scientists to alter the environmental conditions within to see what effect it would have on the plants.

There is something not right in the photo, something is out of place. The seed has been scattered on ground which we can see is clearly not ready to receive it. The seed may be good seed but the ground in this condition will not allow any real growth.

The summer harvest is a joy to see not just for the farmers but for those who understand our dependence upon agriculture for our daily food. It is easy for us who are not involved with farming to become detached from the importance of the harvest.

The summer holiday season has arrived, and some have made plans to spend time with family and friends away from the normal routines of daily life. Maybe places will be visited for the 1st time which might give an opportunity to try different foods and experience different cultures. Others may spend time relaxing on the beach or use the break from work for more of an active holiday. Some will save money and stay at home to enjoy downtime from the daily grind of life.

There are cameras in the streets, on buildings and homes, there are dashcams in cars, body cams worn by Police, cameras inside offices, schools and nurseries etc. all recording. There are webcams on laptops, tablets and computers and there are devices within homes which are listening to voices waiting for verbal instructions.
